Rick Rivero, President
Director of Sales

Rick Rivero launched Connections Marketing in October, 2009. With a brand-heavy advertising background he saw what was missing in the marketplace and saw how he could fill this need. Rick’s career began at the Tribune Company working for HOY Newspaper where he managed the Real Estate and Recruitment section of the only Hispanic daily newspaper in Chicago. He then took a positon as Account Executive for CBS 2 Chicago where he worked with small to midsize companies to create effective on air ad campaigns; moving to Comcast Spotlight, the advertising arm of Comcast Corp. where he dove back into Hispanic Advertising and managed the Multi-Cultural ad initiative for the organization. It was during this time he realized the need for an interactive ad agency that would design quality websites for mid to small size businesses that were not only in English, but in Spanish and Polish, too. And so began Connections Marketing!  Rick is a graduate of Knox College with a degree in Political Science and currently resides in the Northern Suburbs of Chicago with growing family.
 

Dan Korvas, Vice-President
Director of Search Engine Marketing and Project Management

Dan Korvas has been a professional in online marketing and project management for nearly a decade. He has worked for startup companies as well as established web agencies devoted to online endeavors. As an early proponent of the online advertising revolution, he’s worked with a variety of industries seeking to transition from all- traditonal media into new media...and tracking these results. Dan handles SEO (Search Engine Optimization), Paid Search, and Project Management . He received his Bachelor of Political Science from Knox College.

 

Carlos Tarazona, Technology Director

Carlos Tarazona is a seasoned technology professional with over 10 years experience providing innovative solutions across a number of industries including government, retail and market research. Carlos’ technical skills are extensive, and his proficiencies include, but are not limited to, operating systems, web development, application programming, and databases. He is an expert software developer specializing in web technologies and holds a B.S. in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

 

Sara Kmiecik, Content Specialist

Sara Kmiecik is an experienced online content specialist and social media consultant who has worked in a variety of fields since she began her career. Sara enjoys using her knowledge of writing to assist businesses with website content, web articles, press releases and advertising copy. She also uses her skills in marketing to help social media clients build brand awareness and optimize social networking campaigns. Previously, Sara has written for a wide array of industries, including the medical, legal, retail and travel fields. Sara’s work has been found on several organizations’ websites, including American Greetings and the Cleveland Clinic. She earned a Bachelor of Communications with a focus in journalism from the University of Dayton.
